Noémie Dicaire
Dr. Noémie Dicaire is a clinical psychologist and member of the College of Psychologists of Ontario (interim practice) as well as the Ordre des psychologues du Québec. She practises primarily with children and adolescents, offering assessment and individual psychotherapy.
During her studies, Dr. Dicaire had the opportunity to gather therapy experience with the youth and adult population. She has also worked in the school setting and consolidated her assessment skills in various jobs as a psychometrician. Her research interests focus on the parent-child relationship, emotion recognition, and the context of maltreatment in childhood.
In her current practice, both in assessment and therapy, Dr. Dicaire adopts an integrative approach that focuses on the client’s needs considering their strengths and challenges. She prioritizes the establishment of a relationship that focuses on openness, respect, caring, and collaboration in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. She uses techniques and strategies that have been proven effective in research to ensure the quality of services provided. She is interested in a variety of issues, such as emotional regulation, behavioural challenges, social skills, trauma, anxiety, and neurodevelopmental disorders.

On a personal level, she is passionate about health, travel, the outdoors and reading. These things bring her a lot of well-being in addition to occupying her free time outside of her studies.
