Meenakshie Bradley-Garcia
Meenakshie completed a Bachelor of Science in Psychology (B.Sc.) in 2018 and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (M.Ed.) in 2020 at the University of Ottawa. She is currently a fourth-year doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology program at the University of Ottawa. Her doctoral research aims to better understand the influence of chemotherapy, a common cancer treatment, on cognitive functioning, particularly memory, in women with breast cancer.
Meenakshie is pleased to have a practicum placement at IFCEO, where she provides services (assessment and intervention) in French and English to children, adolescents, and families under the supervision of Dr. Marie-Pier Vandette. Previously, she has gained experience in hospital settings (Rogers Neilson House, CHEO, and Montfort) as well as in the community (CRSP).
Finally, Meena is interested in better understanding the cognitive and socio-emotional functioning of children and adolescents with or without medical conditions, as she wishes to help them better understand themselves, develop strategies and obtain the best resources to reach their full potential.
