Judith Bernard, M.Sc.S, (#5432)

Judith is a speech-language pathologist since 2009. She received her master’s degree from the University of Ottawa. She is a member of the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO) (# 5342). Judith offers services in French and English. She has experience with the preschool and school-age population, having worked with Mots en Fleurs, Premiers Mots, and the Ottawa Carleton District School Board (OCDSB). For the past 4 years, Judith is working at CHEO with the pediatric deaf population. She is particularly interested in speech and language delays in preschool/school-aged children. She treats children with oro-motor difficulties and delays in pre-linguistic skills. In her meetings, Judith also favours parent coaching to promote children’s language development. She ensures that the parent is actively involved in the speech therapy sessions. Judith also offers clinical supervision. She keeps up to date with continuing education including deafness, the various Hanen programs (More Than Words, It Takes Two To Talk), prompt, and various pre-linguistic skills training.

In her spare time, she enjoys outdoor activities (downhill skiing, hiking), travelling, spending time with family/friends and dining out.
