Mélanie Rioux, TSI, MSS/RSW, MSW (#840765)

Melanie holds a college technical diploma, a bachelor’s degree, and a master’s degree in social work. One could say that social work is tattooed on her heart. She is a registered member of The Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. Melanie works with adults facing mental health challenges and difficulties in daily life, women who are victims and survivors of violence and LGBTQ+ communities. She has been working and being involved in the Prescott-Russell community for the past 12 years. Melanie promotes a person-centered approach focused on individual needs and empowerment. She utilizes tools from various intervention approaches, including brief intervention, systemic approach, solution-focused approach, strengths-based approach, acceptance and commitment therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and cognitive-behavioral therapy. Above all, she provides a safe, open, and nonjudgmental space.
