Michela DiStefano, B.A.

Michela will begin her sixth-year in the Clinical Psychology M.A.-Ph.D. program at the University of Ottawa. She provides evidence-based psychological assessment and treatment services to children, adolescents, and families in French and English, under the supervision of Dr. Marie-Pier Vandette.

Michela has experience working with a diversity of clients as they face challenges related to anxiety, developmental trauma, mood, behavioural difficulties, parenting, and neurodevelopment issues (e.g., Autism, ADHD, Learning Disabilities, and Language Disorder). She strives to provide a warm, caring, and collaborative environment. Michela’s approach to therapy is strengths-based and focuses on clients’  individual needs, drawing from an evidence-based and integrative framework.

Michela’s doctoral research aims to investigate the influence of parent-child relationships and homework help on children’s math achievement and anxiety towards math.
